Healthcare contacts

Care consumption is important to monitor over time, as are potential differences between different groups of the population, defined for instance by gender, age and socioeconomic factors, and by region and municipality.

The objective for healthcare is good health and healthcare on equal terms for the entire population. If healthcare is not provided on equal terms, it can contribute to a more uneven distribution of health.

Here, the results are presented for those who have had contact with the healthcare services, sought medical care after an accident or refrained from seeking contact with the healthcare services.

The question about accidents is intended to monitor over time the prevalence of accidents that are not accounted for in registers.
