Having many unhealthy living habits entails an elevated risk of developing an illness. Eating too few fruits and vegetables is the most common habit in the population and the least common are hazardous gambling habits and having used cannabis in the past year.

The patterns differ between men and women except for the proportion that eats too few fruits and vegetables. Daily use of moist snuff (snus) and hazardous alcohol habits are also more common among men. Among women, it was more common to smoke daily and have a sedentary leisure time.

Having a high level of education, a good social position on the labour market and a stable and secure financial situation, together with good living habits, increases the chance of being in good health.
