Functional capacity

A large group of people have various types of functional impairments that affect their daily lives and their general health.

It is particularly pressing to work to improve public health among the groups of the population that are most vulnerable to illness, including the disabled.

The questions about prolonged illness, vision, hearing and motor capacity measure functional capacity and the persons who belong to one or more of these four categories are defined as having a functional impairment.
