This report is a result of a collaboration between the Swedish National Institute of Public Health and the Special Interest Group on Healthy Ageing.

The purpose of the report is to help increase knowledge about different initiatives taken in order fulfill the recommendations on policy, practice and research from the Healthy Ageing project and to prepare for the next step forward. The report also presents the main conclusions from the presidency conference “Healthy Ageing in Europe – lessons learnt and ways forward” which was organised by the Swedish National Institute of Public Health in 2009.
