  • Individually Adapted, Written Prescription of Physical Activity – FaR 2012-01-23

    This textbook illustrates why it is important to promote physical activity in the population. There is strong scientific evidence that physical activity promotes health and can be used to both prevent and treat many widespread diseases.

  • Significance of the built environment to physical activity in rural areas 2011-12-20

    It is well established that rural residents, compared to their urban counterparts, carry a higher burden of poor health and chronic diseases. There is, according to the review, a great need for additional research on the effects of the built environment on physical activity in rural settings to improve knowledge of possible effective interventions/strategies.

    measures implemented to reduce hazardous and harmful alcohol consumption. Proposals of future measures are also made.

  • Objective domain 11. Gambling. 2011-08-02

    This report is one of 21 sub-reports of the Public Health Policy Report 2010. The objective for the public health policy regarding gambling is to reduce harm from excessive gambling. The development of excessive gambling is measured through the three indicators: underage gambling, risky gambling habits and problem gambling.
